21 December 2013 was the 25th anniversary of the bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland, of Pan Am 103. The anniversary was also marked at Syracuse University in New York, USA, which was especially hard hit by the disaster. Of the 270 innocent lives lost, 35 were students from Syracuse University, USA.
A prayer “Common Prayer for Peace” composed jointly by Hendricks Chapel Dean Tiffany Steinwert and the Rev. Sandy Stoddart of Applegirth/Drysedale, Lockerbie, Scotland, includes these lines: “Rising up from the ashes of tragedy, we proclaim our commitment to creating a better, more just world.”
Unfortunately, that Reverend Sandy Stoddart of Applegarth/Applegirth, Lockerbie, is the same Sandy Stoddart mentioned in Chapter 9 of Days of Elijah: A True Story ISBN 978 0 955 6248 2 7 by this Christian author Eliza Earsman.
Do not be deceived dear friends by any attempts by him to camouflage details.

My author name is Eliza Earsman. I was born and raised in the southern uplands of Scotland in a decent working class family. I am a committed Christian, and enjoy family, variety, clean air and fresh people. The networking opportunities afforded by belonging to several international groups means I can ‘tune in’ and request prayer help, professional assistance and advice. My Holy Bible is open daily. Apart from that and keeping abreast of news headlines I don’t at the moment find time for reading.
Police work and experience has brought me into close contact with most of those named in Days of Elijah (Revised): A True Story. See e.g. the bombing of Pan-Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, in December 1988.
